Shiba Inu has announced a new partnership with Unity Nodes, a blockchain-based mobile edge network operating across multiple telecom carriers and countries. The collaboration is aimed at extending SHIB’s real-world applications by including it in Unity’s ecosystem.

How It Works
According to the announcement, SHIB will serve as a payment option within Unity Nodes’ infrastructure, which uses blockchain technology to test and verify telecom network integrity.
The Unity App, available on Android and iOS, will enable users to make verification calls that are routed through Switch Nodes, validated by Validation Nodes, and recorded by Earth Nodes directly on the blockchain.
Each call generates Proof-of-Service data accessible via API to telecom providers for transparency and quality assessment. In return, users will earn crypto rewards for verifying the infrastructure of telecoms.
Under the new framework, users can use SHIB to purchase Unity Nodes and licenses through a custom-branded payment gateway aligned with official Shiba Inu branding. Payments made in SHIB will grant users a 5% bonus in Unity Licenses, equivalent to 210 licenses instead of 200, and access to limited-edition Shiba Inu-themed NFTs tied to their purchases.
Limited Supply and Compliance Framework
Unity has confirmed that only 6,000 Unity Nodes will be available globally, creating a capped supply structure for participants. Each $5,000 node provides $1,875 in MNTx and $1,875 in WMTx tokens, both of which are locked for 24 months.
In addition, Unity requires all participants to complete a one-time Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, as it operates as a registered legal entity.
This limited issuance model follows scarcity principles and supports long-term network stability. The company will store all telecom verification data on a dedicated blockchain, creating a transparent and auditable record of global telecom testing activity.
SHIB Holders Gain New Earning Options
The partnership introduces three earning models for SHIB users. In the Self-Operation model, participants manage their own Unity Licenses and can receive up to 75% of carrier service fees. The Leasing model allows license holders to rent their nodes to other operators for passive income, while the Hybrid model combines both approaches.
Unity Nodes’ reward system will also enable SHIB-denominated payouts, allowing participants to choose SHIB as a settlement currency. Referral purchases made using SHIB codes will direct Unity Licenses to the Shiba Inu team, further expanding its exposure within the telecom sector.
