In the latest crypto update, Shiba Inu’s recent price rally has reignited one of the ecosystem’s most closely watched metrics—its token burn activity. After Shiba Inu posted a sharp rally over the weekend, the community significantly accelerated the pace of removing SHIB from circulation, permanently burning more than 2 billion tokens within 24 hours.
More Than 2 Billion SHIB Burned in 24 Hours
According to data from Shibburn, the Shiba Inu community burned approximately 2.04 billion SHIB over the past 24 hours. At current market prices, the destroyed tokens were worth roughly $10,741 at the time of reporting.
The community completed these burns across 40 separate transactions, demonstrating broad participation throughout the ecosystem.

However, a single transaction accounted for a significant portion of the total burned tokens.
Over 360M SHIB Burn in a Single Transaction
The largest individual burn transaction permanently removed 360.61 million SHIB from circulation. On-chain data identifies the wallet behind the transaction as FeeDistributor, an automated smart contract that plays a central role in Shiba Inu’s token-tracking and burn infrastructure.
Notably, FeeDistributor has remained one of the ecosystem’s most active burn mechanisms. Over the past 30 days, the contract has destroyed more than 2.42 billion SHIB. It also burned hundreds of millions of tokens during the latest 24-hour period, further contributing to the day’s massive burn total.
The latest burn figures mark a sharp rebound from the relatively subdued activity recorded over the past several weeks, when the community typically burned only a few million SHIB per day.
As a result, the surge suggests that ecosystem participation has strengthened considerably. Both community-driven initiatives and automated burn mechanisms have become far more active following SHIB’s renewed market momentum.
SHIB’s Price Rally Sparks Renewed Ecosystem Activity
The surge in burn activity coincided with Shiba Inu’s impressive weekend rally, which renewed investor optimism and increased trading activity across the ecosystem.
As CoinRemark previously reported, SHIB climbed nearly 40%, rising from $0.000004171 to around $0.0000058 within hours. The rally briefly pushed Shiba Inu to the 25th position in CoinMarketCap’s global cryptocurrency rankings.
Although SHIB has since retraced part of those gains, it remains one of the market’s largest digital assets. At press time, the token ranks as the 26th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap and trades at $0.000004979. While SHIB has declined 3.43% over the past 24 hours, it remains up 18.28% over the past week.
