Six years after its launch, Shiba Inu continues to prove why it remains one of the most recognizable meme coins in the market.
A recent X post from the SHIB ecosystem’s official X account captures that sentiment perfectly. In a picture attached to the tweet, Pepe, Dogecoin, and BabyDoge appear to be caught in the crypto chaos. On the other hand, the official Shiba Inu mascot sits calmly at its desk, unfazed by the noise around it.
The message reads: “Six years in crypto. Still unshaken.”

In a market where meme coins regularly rise and fall with changing narratives, Shiba Inu has managed to survive multiple market cycles. Its longevity has become one of its biggest strengths. While newer meme coins frequently compete for attention, SHIB continues to maintain an active community and remains among the largest meme assets by market capitalization.
The latest on-chain data suggests that Shiba Inu is not only surviving but continues to attract significant market activity.
Shiba Inu Rallied 38% in Two Days
Shiba Inu (SHIB) recently rallied 38% in just two days before surrendering part of its gains. The move immediately reignited discussions across the meme coin market and placed SHIB back in direct competition with Dogecoin, BabyDoge, and Pepe.
However, the data suggests that retail participants arrived after much of the rally had already played out.
Per Santiment, SHIB’s social dominance metric climbed to 0.084%, its highest reading since April 2. The spike in social activity occurred as the breakout began losing momentum, indicating that crowd attention peaked when the greater part of the move was already behind the market.
This is a common characteristic of meme coin rallies. Social excitement often accelerates once prices have already moved sharply higher.
SHIB Whale Activity Surge
While social interest surged, whale activity also reached notable levels. Shiba Inu recorded 52 whale transactions in a single day, the highest number seen since March 31.
The timing of the whale transactions is particularly important. Large holders became increasingly active while retail enthusiasm was building, suggesting that some whales may have used the heightened liquidity to realize profits during the rally.
The combination of rising social dominance and elevated whale activity paints a familiar picture in the meme coin market. Smaller participants were becoming increasingly optimistic during an uptick while larger holders reduced their exposure.
This does not necessarily signal weakness for Shiba Inu itself. Instead, it highlights how quickly sentiment can shift during short-term rallies.
