In the latest crypto update, global investment management giant T. Rowe Price has launched the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF, introducing its first actively managed multi-token spot exchange-traded product.
The ETF began trading on NYSE Arca today under the ticker symbol TKNZ, offering investors exposure to a diversified portfolio of leading cryptocurrencies. Among its eligible holdings are XRP and Solana, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, Hyperliquid, and other digital assets.
The launch represents T. Rowe Price’s first cryptocurrency-focused ETP and expands the firm’s lineup of actively managed ETFs to 34.
XRP and Solana Among Eligible Assets
Unlike traditional crypto ETFs that mirror the performance of a single cryptocurrency, the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF actively adjusts its portfolio allocations based on market conditions.
Its investment universe includes several major digital assets, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, as well as other qualifying cryptocurrencies. Since the fund is actively managed, portfolio managers can increase or reduce exposure to XRP, Solana, or any other eligible asset as market trends evolve.

Blue Macellari, Head of Digital Assets at T. Rowe Price, leads the ETF alongside four co-portfolio managers with extensive investment experience.
According to Macellari, an actively managed approach allows investors to gain diversified exposure to digital assets without having to build, monitor, or frequently rebalance their own crypto portfolios.
Instead, professional managers continuously evaluate market conditions and adjust allocations accordingly in an effort to improve long-term risk-adjusted returns. The strategy is designed to help investors navigate the rapid price swings that often characterize cryptocurrency markets while maintaining exposure to multiple digital assets through a single investment vehicle.
Growing Institutional Access for XRP and Solana
The launch further expands institutional investment options for both XRP and Solana, which have gained traction among ETF issuers.
In addition to appearing in diversified products like the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF, both assets now have dedicated spot ETFs in the United States.
Solana currently has six standalone U.S. spot ETFs, including offerings from Bitwise, VanEck, Fidelity, and 21Shares. Collectively, these products have attracted approximately $1.13 billion in net inflows and $895 million in AUM, highlighting sustained institutional demand.
Meanwhile, XRP has five U.S. spot ETFs issued by major asset managers such as WisdomTree, Bitwise, Grayscale, Canary, and Franklin. Together, these funds have accumulated approximately $1.48 billion in cumulative inflows while managing around $1 billion in assets under management (AUM).
The addition of XRP and Solana to T. Rowe Price’s actively managed ETF further strengthens their presence in institutional investment portfolios as demand for regulated crypto investment products continues to expand.
