In the latest crypto news, Solana influencer Ansem has distributed one of the largest recent meme coin airdrops.
According to Lookonchain, he airdropped 67.38 million ANSEM tokens worth approximately $9.43 million to more than 700 wallets. While the distribution aimed to expand the token’s holder base, blockchain data shows several of the largest recipients have already sold significant portions of their allocations.
Over $9 Million Worth of ANSEM Distributed
Lookonchain reported that Ansem distributed 67.38 million ANSEM to more than 700 wallets. At current prices, the airdrop is worth approximately $9.43 million. The distribution came shortly after ANSEM surpassed a market valuation of around $8-10 million.
Ansem confirmed the giveaway on X. He said roughly $7 million worth of ANSEM has already been distributed and that more airdrops will follow as the token’s market capitalization grows.
The Solana influencer also shared the project’s long-term goal—to expand ownership. ANSEM currently has about 67,000 holders, and the team hopes to increase that figure to 1 million holders through continued community distributions. Meanwhile, on-chain data shows a large portion of the tokens went to a small number of wallets.
Largest Recipients Begin Selling
According to Lookonchain, 49.89 million ANSEM, worth approximately $6.98 million, went to just seven wallets. Those addresses received more than half of all tokens distributed during the latest airdrop.
The wallets have already sold 38.29 million ANSEM, generating approximately $1.29 million in realized proceeds. They still hold 11.6 million ANSEM, currently valued at around $1.62 million.
Not every recipient sold immediately. One of the seven largest wallets has not sold any tokens, while others have only reduced part of their holdings. The activity reflects the different behaviors often observed after large token airdrops, with some holders taking profits and others maintaining their positions.
Ansem’s Holdings Draw Attention
The token’s rapid growth has also put Ansem’s own holdings under the spotlight. Earlier reports from Lookonchain said the project’s deployer spent about $6,300 to launch the project and has realized only around $5,500 in profit after selling a small portion of the holdings. He then transferred all of the remaining tokens to Ansem, who, in turn, further distributed the tokens.
Arkham’s on-chain data revealed the Pump.fun account “ansemconzimp” received about 65% of ANSEM’s total supply. After the latest airdrops, the wallet still controls approximately 58.7% of the supply. Arkham estimates those holdings are worth around $75 million. As more airdrops roll out, traders will watch whether ownership becomes more decentralized and how those remaining holdings affect ANSEM’s price.
